Budget Rationale

This budget was strategically scaled to fit within the $20,000 framework provided in the assignment guidelines. While large-scale theme park launches often exceed this amount, prioritizing core elements such as rentals, staffing, and catering ensures that the event remains feasible while delivering a high-quality guest experience. The budget emphasizes accessibility, strong media visibility, and community engagement while trimming down nonessential extras. For example, catering was scaled to ~200 guests rather than the full 500, and entertainment was simplified to keep costs balanced. This approach demonstrates practical resource management and highlights how SkyQuest Park can deliver an impactful, branded experience while staying within budget limitations.

Event Proposal

Reflection

Developing the SkyQuest Park VR Grand Launch proposal was an exciting and challenging process that allowed me to integrate event planning, branding, and strategic communication into a cohesive concept. One of the most valuable parts of this project was learning how to balance creativity with logistics. Making sure that the event was not only engaging but also feasible in terms of budget, staffing, and accessibility. I also gained experience aligning an event with broader PR objectives, such as community engagement, media outreach, and brand positioning. Incorporating Full Sail University as a promotional partner added another layer of authenticity, showcasing how partnerships can enhance both credibility and audience reach. This process taught me the importance of thinking holistically: an event is not just a one-night experience, but a long-term tool for building trust, generating media coverage, and strengthening relationships with diverse audiences.
